Coach Nielsen's Ice Hockey Drills

We are what we repeatedly do.

Therefore, Excellence is not an act, but a Habit

It is my hope that I can use this blog to help new ice hockey coaches bring this great sport to the players they work with. I have been coaching hockey for 26 years and have faced most situations numerous times. I hope I can help the new coach, and heck, even the other experienced coaches out there get through the ups and downs of the typical hockey season.

I can help with conditioning programs, practice drills, game systems and general questions.

This is a FREE site, if I have it, I will post it and you can use it.

I just started this blog, so I am in the process of uploading and cataloging all the drills and videos. Please check back often because I will add new stuff most days when I’m not busy on the ice with one of my two teams.

If you need a specific type of drill drop me a note and I will post what I have in that specific area, otherwise I will just sort of go through my drills and post them randomly.

To view drills select the DRILLS tab above or the links to the right.

To see the “Latest Posts” click the tab up above. The “Latest Posts” typically have audio to accompany the drills/system posts. Check it out, I think you will like it.

Follow me on TWITTER by clicking the link below. I will post a tweet on Twitter whenever I load new drills or posts.

Subscribe to my eMail updates above to be notified when new drills are posted.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you gain some small bit of knowledge from this site.

  1. Do you mind if I quote a couple of your articles as long as I
provide credit and sources back to your blog? My blog site
is in the exact same niche as yours and my visitors would definitely benefit from some of the information you present here.
Please let me know if this ok with you. Regards!

This site is great. I really appreciate that the drills are free, I’m tired of paying for crappy drills on other web sites.
I think your posts are very informative as well. The one on conditioning was awesome. Please keep up the great writing. I plan on telling all my coaching buddy’s about the site.
